Most Of The Important Things In The World Have Been Accomplished By People Who Have Kept Trying When There Seemed To Be No Hope At All – Dale Carnegie
At tender age of 24 years, Shahzad Ali from Purnia (Bihar) has already lived an era. An era of pain, patience, perseverance, lessons and hope. Before he had even turned 18, tragedy struck his family in 2015 in the form of his father’s sudden medical issues. Finding his mother and 3 younger sisters stuck in a financial crunch situation, Shahzad decided to bear the responsibility of being the family breadwinner and moved to Delhi. Working as a daily wage labourer packing MCB boxes, Shahzad often wondered about his future and how to establish a career in the midst of the troublesome tornado his family was facing.
As he visited his home for a short holiday, he met TSEC Jamshedpur centre manager who also happened to be a family friend, and got enrolled in Refrigeration and AC Operator course shortly thereafter. While Shahzad was thriving in the course, he also had to contend with the news of untimely demise of his father. He was back immediately after the last rites, with a renewed determination to ace the course and become a solid financial support for his family.
The self-discovery module at STRIVE, he says, is the one that completely changed his thinking and approach to life. Now he is not only aware of his inner strength but also knows how to draw from it for any situation life throws at him and his family. Working as a BMS Operator at Apollo, Hyderabad today, he is the apple of his family’s eyes and a determined soul marching ahead for a better future.
